I’m excited to be able to share these two newest self initiated film themed paper islands.
My main reason for making these was to test out some new techniques on each island. I learned a bit of Blender (3d software) to create the Sandworm in the Beetlejuice sculpture and we used a UV light when we photographed the Bladerunner themed piece.
In the Beetlejuice sculpture, I wanted to make the famous white haunted house surrounded by the bright green fake 3d modelled grass and the Beetlejuice sign with the Sandworm wrapping around the whole piece.
For the Bladerunner 2049 themed sculpture I was keen to focus on the city scene with the signage and billboards, people walking with umbrellas and the car.
