Ecowild Impact Poster

Impact Illustration

Ecowild is a Community Interest Company in Bath & North East Somerset that helps people of all ages connect with the living landscape. They focus on those who are underrepresented or face barriers, offering creative wellbeing sessions, work with refugees and global majority groups, seasonal events, woodland clubs for children, school workshops, volunteering, and community celebrations that nurture connection, resilience, and joy in nature.

The project called for a visual piece that would communicate the impact of Ecowild’s adult wellbeing provision in a way that felt fresh and engaging, moving away from their usual written reports. The aim was to capture not just facts and figures, but the deeper sense of connection, growth, and community that emerges through time spent in nature. By creating a poster illustration, the impact of Ecowild’s work could be shared more widely and accessibly, offering an immediate, emotive impression of the experiences and transformations that participants describe.

For this project, I decided to go completely glue free. Each paper element was individually cut and then carefully layered using tweezers, allowing the composition to build up piece by piece. This method required precision and patience, but it also gave the work a natural looseness that felt true to the brief. I’m really pleased with how the aesthetic emerged — imperfect and organic, with textures and edges that echo the raw, authentic qualities of nature and the human connection Ecowild fosters.
