Lush cosmetics, based in Poole, are well known for their handmade, ethical, fun and fresh products. They have been fighting against animal testing since day one in 1995. Not only can their packaging be reused and taken back to the store to recycle into more packaging, in 2017 their all-year-round range boasted of approximately 60% naked (package free products) too.
In this project, I wanted to celebrate the natural ingredients that go into Lush products by having them burst out of the scene and also framing the product. We shot three of their vegan skincare products, Rub Rub Rub, Catastrophe Cosmetic and Dream Cream. The geometric layered background lines hitting against the curvy non-symetrical handcrafted paper plants worked a treat for this shoot!
